Hotel California

After a groovy performance by the Rebirth Brass Band, a rockin' horns band from New Orleans, University of Miami seniors Parker Smith (left) and Whitney Roux (right) took in the good vibes.
"That band was awesome!" our photographer told them.
"I know," Parker replied. "I booked them!"
Whitney is wearing black peep-toe wedge heels and graphic top, both from Urban Outfitters.
Her purple skirt is from American Apparel.

Parker got this brown/design bracelet from Israel.

Bronson Soares, a senior from Hawaii, is modeling fitted dark denim jeans by Levi's, shoes by Adidas and a hand-made woven leather belt from Argentina.

A photographer spotted senior Lissy passing through the UC, wearing
a classic Abercrombie & Fitch frayed denim skirt and BCBG top.
"I'm usually in gym clothes!" she said. Looks like we caught her at just the right time.

Ece Cakir, a University of Miami senior, soaks up the sun in a western mini dress and saddle brown suede boots, both by UrbanOutfitters.

Soho Flowerchild

Junior Taylor Wilson looks flirty and fab in a flower dress by Millie and slouch boots by Steve Madden.
The South Carolinian describes her style as "spunky, funky and unique," and adores a band called Boys like Girls.

Sophomore Tara Dolan is in touch with mother nature in

a comfy bohemian patterned cream hoodie and relaxed denim.

Welcome To The Jungle

Graduate students Alex (left) and Jose (right) chatted with friends over coffee
at the university's Starbucks. Alex, who describes his style as "preppy,"
is wearing a polo shirt by Izod. Jose, a Jack Johnson fan,
is wearing a basic green camouflage crew neck t-shirt.

Junior Max House Johansen stood tall and proud in muted green and camel
cargo shorts by Arizona Jeans, and a t-shirt from Knuckles Pub in New Jersey.
House added that his favorite quote in history is,
"To die with one's sword still in its sheath is most regrettable in life" (Miyamoto Musashi)
How profound! Thanks, House.

Camouflage and army patterned clothes is a trend that comes and goes throughout the years.
Junior Willie Haskell (above) was ahead of the trend's recent revival amongst University of Miami's students:
"I got this [hoodie] a really long time ago," he said, smiling in the sun.

Country Club-Hopping

Sophomore Manny Melo can go straight from campus to the country club
in classic khaki's by Gap, a blue stripe oxford dress shirt and tie, both by
Tommy Hilfiger. Melo's stitched boat shoes by Bass are put-together, with an outdoorsy feel.

Junior Dan Lazaro enjoys a late afternoon stroll around the lake,
wearing classic blue-turquoise polo by Ralph Lauren, relaxed khaki
shorts, and sandals.

Denim Luxury

Said, a University of Miami grad student, chose a look of casual professionalism in jeans and a smart blazer by Italian designer Nino Cerruti. His leather Cole Haan loafers are versatile enough for jet-setting or one of Said's engineering classes.

In classic denim with comfortably worn-in leather accents, senior Will Thompson is dressed for any event; whether its lunch in the campus cafeteria, or wining & dining on South Beach. Thompson is featured above wearing a vintage leather bag from Manhattan, a purple sport shirt by Express, and brown western-style loafers by Salvatore Ferragamo.

I Don't Do Autographs

Heather McKay's (see below) leg warmers by Abercrombie & Fitch kept her legs toasty on
a chilly, below 80-degree day in Miami.

A Collegiate Fame scout caught these fashionista(o)s on campus and decided to take a quick pic
before their entourage showed up. Hip sophomore John Barger (left) is wearing a vintage/glam rock inspired shirt by Grail, jeans by Rock & Republic, shoes, hat, bag and belt by Diesel. Heather McKay (right) is wearing heather gray Abercrombie wool leg warmers, Beautiful People mini-cardigan, C + C scoop neck white shirt, charcoal American Apparel scarf, and black Fendi bag. Although he still loves her, Barger said Madonna is a bit more of last year's fad, and currently listens to David Guetta and lots of electronic. McKay is into Spoon from Austin, Texas.

Senior Will Thompson turns to acknowledge his fans through the reflective

lenses of classic black Wayfarers by Ray ban.

Coli Alibayof, senior at the University of Miami, breezed into Starbucks with the band (okay, not exactly, but could have fooled us!) Coli is wearing jeans, a white knit blouse from Urban Outfitters and a scarf she got in Athens, Greece.

Her accessories include a Dufonte watch, layered wooden bracelets, an elephant charm necklace from India, and glam-rock black nail polish.

Playful Rain Boots

Kelly Asher's multi-colored striped rain boots brighten up any rainy day. Her sense of fashion
was not the only insight we acquired from this University of Miami senior:
A quote she lives by is "Behind every strong woman is herself" (anonymous)

Freshman Tal Harari's flower-power rain boots by Urban Outfitters.

Beach-Chic

All the rage: Coral-toned and natural vintage alligator accessories.

Let's start with the essentials. Sophomore JC showed us some University of Miami necessities:

an orange Blackberry and refreshing fruit smoothie.

Sophomore Joda (pictured above with Jordan) wore a fresh cantaloupe-colored tunic,

denim shorts and coral Prada purse. Her beach-white flats gave her look a posh edge.

A Collegiate Fame scout saw senior Stephen (above) in class and passed him a note to

ask him for a photo-op! In tortoise shell Wayfarers by Ray Ban, Vans, and gray pinstriped pants by

Penguin, this Radiohead fan's relaxed rock star vibe puts the "cool" in "scool" (we meant school but come on, we had to use that line.)

Chelsea Bagwell looked like she could be part of Warhol's crew-for-the-cool, circa 1967 in Manhattan, in a basic orange V-neck over sleek black leggings, both from American Apparel. The University of Miami freshman added a cute Gucci tote to her Edie Sedgwick-esque look.

Bagwell chatted with freshman Tal Harari. The stylish ladies entertained themselves with a perfectlycoordinated orange Blackberry. Harari says she loves hip hop and r&b while Bagwell is more of "an alternative-country" kind of gal.

We spotted Anna, a freshmen at the University of Miami, decked out in

layered coral necklaces, beach-inspired stone bracelets and matching blouse.

Danielle Mrad, a University of Miami senior,

is wearing an orange knit top from Mango in Lebanon,

an Aldo bag, and brown vintage-style boots she got in L.A.
"What I wear goes with the weather," she said of her chic-beach style. "Even the color!"

Glamour kids, along with these lizards, were crawling all over this playground in paradise.

Vibrant hues and coral jewelery are perfectly inspired by the area's exotic flowers and nearby turquoise seas.

But during a tropical rain shower, college students brighten up their day by sporting playful, brightly-colored rain boots.
